There are different best planting times of the year for planting a new strawberry plant depending on the type of strawberries and what your growing zone is. Generally, early spring is the best time to plant strawberry plants for most regions. This gives the plants time to produce more roots before the actual growing season begins. In cooler areas, however, late fall is equally awesome as trees will be rooting through winter and then be strong enough to thrive well in spring.
